MINI INTERVIEW WITH A FOREIGNER

Okay.. Hey ya..

Cem's here.. So, now I'd like to share you my experience in interviewing a foreigner. The story goes like this, my class had a task to interview a foreigner. So my 2 friends and I decided to visit Kota Tua, - since it's one of the many tourist attractions that we have here in Jakarta. With the help of my beloved big brother, we went there together with no trouble at all. After we got there, luckily, we found 2 foreigners - who are a couple (a very nice couple indeed) from Holland. Thankfully, they were so friendly and didn't refuse to be interviewed. I decided to ask the gentleman, and my friend Mae asked the lovely lady.

PS: I need to apologize first, since I didn't really get his name (I thought it was Johanneke). I hope I got it right.

C:  Excuse me, what's your name?
J :  Johanneke
C:  Where do you come from?
J :  Holland
C:  Where do you from?
J :  From Beverwijk, nearby Amsterdam.
C:  Wow.. You came with you friend?
J :  I'm here with my girlfriend.
C:  Okay, when did you come here?
J :  Mm... the day before yesterday.
C:  And then, are you going to stay here for...
J :  Mm... 25 days
C:  25 days? For?
J :  3 days in Jakarta, then we go to Bogor, then to Bandung and then we flu to Bali.
C:  So, you have a vacation tour or something like that?
J :  Yup, she wants to see the places from the family.
C:  Is this your 1st time being here?
J :  Yeah,..
C:  So, what do you think about Jakarta?
J :  Mm... It's very dirty... and uh.. very busy.
C:  Yeah, very dirty, right? Very different from your place?
J :  Yes.
C:  What about the weather?
J :  It's warm, not very sunny or something. But today, it's sunny.
C:  Do you like the weather?
J :  Uh... Ya...
C:  Really?
J :  Yaa...
C:  What about the weather in your place?
J :  It's cool and windy... and... uh... not... well...
C:  So, this is much better?
J :  Yup.
C:  Really?
J :  Yeah, I think so.
C:  Have you tasted the food here?
J :  Yes, I like the food.
C:  What do you think? What kind of food do you like?
J :  Uh.. Soto ayam... Nasi goreng... and uh... I don't know if you... What's that (asking to his girlfriend)... perkedel?
C:  Perkedel?
J :  Yaa...
C:  Okay.. well that's new.
C:  So, beside Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung and Bali. Are you planning to go to somewhere else?
J :  Uh... No, that's for the holiday.
C:  Okay... Mm... I'm very grateful for your time. Thank you for helping me.
J :  Sure, you're very welcome.

So, that's my mini talk with a foreigner. Thank you (^.^)
